Attorney Gerry Goldstein Featured in Hunter S. Thompson’s “Kingdom of Fear”
Author and journalist Hunter S. Thompson documented his past with a collection of stories in “Kingdom of Fear,” including a letter from longtime friend attorney Gerry Goldstein. Goldstein’s 2002 letter to Thompson is a mixture of a friend reaching out to another and questioning the power of local and federal governments.
The attorney tells the writer the attacks on September 11 changed the lives of thousands who lost family, but the American people as a whole. Goldstein said the terrorist attacks have forever changed the political and legal landscape. However, Goldstein applauds Thompson for his efforts to change government oppression and defending others.
