NACDL President Gerry Goldstein said Organization Opposes “Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act”
Gerry Goldstein, president of National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, wrote a statement on behalf of the organization opposing the “Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act,” saying it has a lack of respect for human dignity and constitutional principles.
The letter, addressed to the United States Senate Judiciary Committee, said the rights of the accused are to be protected by the constitution. Goldstein said the act could infringe on them, and the NACDL would oppose the act.
