Senior Associate Abasi Major Nominated to the NACDL Board of Directors
Goldstein and Hilley are excited to announce that Abasi Major, a senior associate, has been nominated to the NACDL Board of Directors on May 9, 2020 with the election to take place at the annual meeting.
Mr. Major has also been invited to speak about the Fourth Amendment for public defenders at the Annual Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association’s Rusty Course in June of this year.
NACDL identifies its mission as “to serve as a leader, alongside diverse coalitions, in identifying and reforming flaws and inequities in the criminal justice system, and redressing systemic racism, and ensuring that its members and others in the criminal defense bar are fully equipped to serve all accused persons at the highest level.”
The TCDLA’s Rusty Course covers state law, scholarly topics and cases from the past year that attorneys should know about. The event is scheduled to run June 18 to June 20.
