Eduardo André Salazar, better known as Eddie, brings a rich multicultural perspective to his legal practice. Born in Honduras into a Foreign Service family, Eduardo’s upbringing spanned Thailand, South Africa, and Germany, shaping his global outlook. He comes from a multi-generational family dedicated to public service, which instilled in him a deep commitment to serving others and inspired his early dream of becoming an attorney.

Eduardo is a first-generation lawyer who made San Antonio his home after earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Trinity University in 2018. He later attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in May 2023. During law school, Eduardo clerked for the highly respected criminal defense firm Goldstein & Orr and has continued with the firm after graduation.

Under the mentorship of the firm’s Name Partners, Gerald Goldstein and Cynthia Orr, Eduardo developed a passion for criminal defense. Their guidance deepened his dedication to ensuring that the fundamental rights enshrined in the Texas and United States Constitutions are upheld for every individual accused of a crime. Eduardo’s work at the firm has included assisting in high-profile cases, such as helping Ms. Orr secure a dismissal in a capital murder case where the client had been wrongfully imprisoned for five years.

Eduardo has gained significant experience in post-conviction relief and has assisted with appellate briefs, petitions for discretionary review, and both state and federal writs. His work has also involved federal drug conspiracy cases, mail and wire fraud, money laundering, firearm-related offenses, bribery, and Fourth Amendment protections against unlawful searches and seizures. Additionally, Eduardo has traveled to New Orleans with his mentors to help them prepare for oral arguments before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

After graduating from law school, Eduardo’s commitment to learning and professional growth led him to dedicate another year to his mentorship at Goldstein & Orr. In Eduardo’s eyes, the most valuable lessons that derive from the law do not come from textbooks or a classroom—they come from listening carefully to a client’s needs, adapting, and having the capacity to think beyond the law—a daily routine Eduardo observed at Goldstein & Orr. Presently, Eduardo has successfully sat for the Texas Uniform Bar Examination in July 2024 and is currently awaiting final licensing approval. Eduardo looks forward to joining Goldstein & Orr as an Associate Attorney, where he will continue to advocate passionately for the firm’s clients.

Beyond his legal pursuits, Eduardo enjoys reading about technological advancements, listening to health and finance podcasts, watching sports, and spending quality time with his family and significant other. He also has basic proficiency in French and German, reflecting his international upbringing.
